From Lauren Hammer... Honduras living!
life in Honduras is going great! Right now we are still going to Language classes every day...I'm trying to fit as much spanish in my brain as I can :) Its coming along but I could deff use prayer in that area...learning a Lang is pretty hard.
We havnt started working at the ministry sights yet...but we got tours at a few of them. I'm really excited to get started...please pray that God places us where he wants us and were are gifts will be best used :)
Right my team mates and I are involved in a monday night bible study...its alot of fun to get to know the youth here in Honduras...though we dont understand much of the lesson :)
There are also some younger kids that we have been playing Soccer with and the girls and I would like to start up a little bilbe study with them :)
Hmmm what else...We have been doing a work project every Saturday at a school for deff kids..."Happy Hands"...we have been painting walls and chairs....and than last Saturday we put in a cement floor...it was hard work but so worth it :)
My Host family is really nice and I am growing to love them daily!! I have a mom, dad, three grown up brothers, and one sister!! I love when the whole family gets together :) They have made be part of there family and include me in just about everthing!!
Some prayer requests:
First of for saftey :)
Also please pray that that the team and I learn the Language quickly:) we want to be able to share the love of Jesus in spanish!!
Thanxs for your prayers and support!!
Lauren

When asked what tree stand in the center of their garden.
Our teens most frequent answers, when asked what type of tree stands in the center of the garden. What not only tempts, but what is hard to deal with, what do you need to walk away from, what do you need to trust the Lord, when is obedience more important than understanding it all?
